Terms & Conditions
Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, PaperArts will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling.
All items are offered subject to availability. If on receipt of your order, the item(s) you have ordered are not in stock, PaperArts will inform you as soon as possible.
We have gone to great lengths to illustrate our products, but each image should be viewed in conjunction with the descriptive text and will, of course, be limited by the screen settings of your own monitor screen. If an exact colour match or pattern is vital, we recommend that you visit or contact the shop directly.
We accept the following major credit cards for on-line ordering.
Unfortunately, at present we cannot accept Amex for online orders, although it is welcome in the shop. Please note that for your security, your credit card details are collected on a secure server operated by Paypoint.net and our staff do not have access to your card details. Your card will only be debited after your order has been assembled and is ready for dispatch.
If you are shopping from outside the United Kingdom, your card company will convert the transaction into your own currency and as such the amount that you will pay will be based on the banks exchange rate at the time of processing your order.
For mainland UK orders, we charge a flat rate of £2.95 to cover postage and packing.
For International orders and UK islands, shipping is charged at cost. When the order is placed a nominal
shipping cost included in your order.
If the actual cost is less than the figure quoted, then we will reduce the amount before charging your card. If the actual postage
cost is greater than the figure quoted, then we will contact you to confirm the shipping value before your order is dispatched.
Depending on your location, order value and weight of your order, your delivery may be shipped either by Courier or Royal Mail. Packages shipped with Royal Mail are generally sent first class or Special Delivery. Method of shipping is at our discretion.
The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order. We aim to dispatch all orders within two working days, provided all stock items are available. However, please allow up to 28 days for delivery. During busy times this time frame can increase. A working day is any day other than weekends and UK Bank or other local public holidays. The majority of parcels are dispatched by First Class Royal Mail within the UK. Delivery time should be one to two working days after leaving our premises. However, PaperArts is not liable for the service (or lack of) by Royal Mail or any courier/mail service we use. A package is not deemed "lost" by Royal Mail until 15 working days has passed after the posting date. If after checking with your sorting office, neighbours etc the package still hasn't arrived after 15 days, we will replace the missing goods. We know this is frustrating, but Royal Mail make the rules not us, and to send all mail via courier would double post charges.
If delivery cannot be made to your address for reasons under our control, PaperArts will inform you as soon as possible and refund or credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for delivery.
If you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Distance Selling Regulations, PaperArts shall refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the order, less any expenses incurred for failed delivery.
Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, PaperArts will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, PaperArts will inform you as soon as possible.
You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to the end of 7 working days after you receive your order.
To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to PaperArts by letter, fax or email, giving details of the items ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery. Notification by phone is not sufficient.
If you exercise your right of cancellation after the items have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning them to PaperArts at your own cost. The items must be returned to: PaperArts, Toadsmoor Road, Brimscombe, Stroud GL6 9JS. You must take reasonable care to ensure the items are not damaged in the meantime or in transit.
Once you have notified PaperArts that you are cancelling the contract, PaperArts will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the items. If you do not return the goods as required, PaperArts may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the items.
If we make a mistake with your order, or if the goods received are in some way faulty, we have a no quibble returns policy. You must phone or email for a returns authorisation and you will be given a procedure to follow. Do not just return items that are incorrect/faulty without contacting us first.
If you change your mind for any other reason, we are happy to exchange items or reimburse via a credit note, provided the goods are returned to us within 14 days of their receipt, in the original packaging and in a saleable condition. We regret, however, that we cannot, in this case, refund return postage costs. We will also charge the actual cost of sending out the replacement goods to you, again contact us before returning any item so that we can deal efficiently with the return.
Sometimes, items are, for a variety of reasons, temporarily out of stock. We try to alert you to this fact on the website, but occasionally demand exceeds supply. If a product you have ordered is out of stock, we tell you about the problem, and give you the option of cancelling either the whole order or simply the out of stock item.
All our prices include VAT at 17.5%. If you are ordering from outside the European Union or Jersey, Guernsey etc, the VAT will be deducted from your order at the final order summary page.
The PaperArts's total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this agreement shall be limited to the price paid for the goods. Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits the liability of PaperArts for death or personal injury caused by the Supplier's negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.
If you are a business customer PaperArts shall not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with this agreement.
PaperArts will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure but unless PaperArts is negligent, PaperArts will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you.
These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the contract.
